We have some extremely exciting news to share!

At Phoenix RCO, our mission is to meet people where they are, provide life-saving resources, and foster a path to recovery. Over the past few months, we’ve been working alongside Cobb Douglas Public Health Department (CDPHD) to bring outreach services directly to communities in need. Using county data on drug overdoses, our teams have been visiting identified overdose “hotspots” to provide:

Narcan – A life-saving medication that reverses opioid overdoses.
Education & Harm Reduction Materials – Clean-use supplies and safer sex materials to help prevent the spread of disease.
Access to Recovery Resources – Information and direct connections to detox, rehab, and long-term support for those ready to seek recovery.
Rapid HIV Testing – Immediate testing and connections to treatment if needed.
Ongoing Support – Continued outreach to ensure people get the care they need.

And now, we have tangible proof that our efforts are working! A location that had been identified as a high-risk overdose hotspot just a few months ago has now been completely removed from the county’s list of overdose-prone areas. This means fewer overdoses, more lives saved, and real change happening within our communities in a short period of time. This incredible milestone is a testament to the power of harm reduction, education, and compassionate outreach. Every life matters, and every step forward brings us closer to a healthier, safer community.

We are grateful to Cobb Douglas Public Health Department for their partnership and to our dedicated team and volunteers who show up, do the work, and make a difference every single day. But our work is far from over. We will continue to serve, educate, and advocate for those affected by substance use disorder. Because at Phoenix RCO, hope is not just a word—it’s an action.

Thank you for your continued support! Together, we are saving lives.
