Last night, Phoenix RCO had an incredible time at Austell’s Faith and Blue event! We’d like to give a big shout-out to the Austell Police Department for inviting us to be part of this wonderful community gathering. It was a great opportunity to meet local residents, share what we do, and show how we can all work together to support recovery.
At the event, we introduced people to who we are and the services we provide. For those who don’t know, Phoenix RCO offers no-cost recovery services for individuals and families affected by substance use disorder. We pride ourselves on creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where people can find the resources they need and engage in activities that help them on their long-term recovery journey.
One of the highlights of the night was distributing Narcan to a few individuals. Narcan is a life-saving medication that can reverse opioid overdoses. By providing it to those who need it, we hope to give the community the power to step in and save lives if an emergency arises.
Our team—both staff and volunteers—had a blast. We not only spent time chatting with folks and officers, but we also couldn’t resist dancing to the music in the parking lot! It was a perfect mix of fun and purpose, and these moments remind us how much we love connecting with the community in a meaningful way.
Whether we’re providing direct services or attending events like Faith and Blue, Phoenix RCO is always eager to be out there, sharing our message of recovery, prevention, and support. We truly believe in building a healthier, stronger community through education, empowerment, and compassion.
Thank you to Family Life Restoration Center and the Austell Police Department for hosting us, and to everyone who visited our booth—it was a pleasure to meet you all!
